Homecoming plans changed

No “stand around,” but a dance in Scranton

There have been changes in plans for  Greene County High School homecoming since they were posted on the district website.

There is now no scheduled event after the football game against Perry Friday night. A “stand around” in the high school parking lot has been canceled.

However, Scranton Betterment and the Scranton Community Center board have stepped up to host a homecoming dance for students Saturday night, Oct. 10,  from 7 to 11 pm. There will be a DJ with lights, karaoke and concessions. There is no admission charge.

Also, the jersey auction is once again a live auction and will begin after the volleyball match against North Polk Thursday evening in the middle school gym.

A final change from the previous announcement is that there will be no dunk tank at the football field prior to the game.
